Almost 4 months!

Time has absolutely flown by! Chloe will be 4 months old on Wednesday, March 23rd. This week Chloe had a cold and after a couple trips to the pediatrician we finally got it cleared up aside from a little stuffy nose. We are still putting saline drops in her nose which she hates but it is really helping. The other lifesaver was advice from a friend of mine. After putting baby Vicks on Chloe's little feet and covering them with socks she almost instantly stopped coughing!
In other news, Chloe has become extremely vocal. Ever since recovering from the cold she has turned into a little chatterbox. She also rolls easily from her back to her side and holds her head up very well during tummy time.
Our dog Benny is Chloe's best friend and seems to have a need to be everywhere that she is. Chloe grabbed his beard yesterday (which made my heart skip a beat) and all he did was whine until I quickly intervened and released her monster baby grip. I hope he continues to do so well with her as she grows into a mobile monster baby.
Prior to getting sick we had some family pictures taken by Courtney Zenner at Boy Scout Park (aka Billy Dunlop park). We have only seen a few of the pictures so far but from what we have seen they are pretty cute. Chloe wasn't very smiley though and we now know it was because she was coming down with a cold and kicking off the teething process. She appears to have a little tooth coming in, as a little white speck is visible on her lower gums in the middle.
Chloe's stats: 16.8 lbs! The nurse was showing Chloe off to the other nurses saying; "This baby is not even 4 months old!".  She is such a little chunk.

Now for the pictures of the week:

Our crazy month!

In the last month I bought a new monkey hat, laughed for the first time,

went to church for the first time,
played in my jumperoo,
bought a new dresser for all of my clothes,
spent time with my daddy
and mommy
and more time with Daddy.
I have been chillin' in my Bumbo too and
hanging out with Benny.
To sum up the last month, I would have to say it has been an endless cycle. It seems we are always preparing for the next day, i.e. washing bottles and pacifiers, making our lunches for work and doing laundry. I have a DVR full of shows that I never have time to watch and a terribly messy house. I am so thankful that I am off of work for spring break! I will be spending lots of qulaity time with Chloe and doing some spring cleaning.

Jumperoo and back to work ...

(This was written on February 25th but I didn't have time to post pics that day- I am just now getting to it on March 12th!)
It has been a busy couple of weeks. Last week was spent preparing for my return to work and this week I actually made the step. It was very hard but somehow I made it through the week. I know it helps that I have a great people to leave her with!
I had a trial run at the sitter's house for Chloe and left her for a half day on the 18th. I cried all the way home and then cleaned my house from top to bottom. Every day this week until today I cried after dropping her off. She did very well everyday and even rolled from her back to side on her second day there! She still hasn't shown me this newly acquired skill!
Last week I put Chloe's jumperoo together and she absolutely LOVED it. She was bouncing so much more than I thought a baby her size would be able to. I did have to wrap some old college textbooks in a quilt so that her feet could touch the ground though. I video taped her first time bouncing and already just a week later she can bounce so much more.
Last weekend was also Chloe's first trip to Dunbar Cave. We walked around the trails with her in the Ergo. She had a blast. We love our baby girl!
I am 3 months old! (Feb. 23rd)

Daddy's Little Valentine!

It has been killing me to wait to show these off- I just LOVE how they turned out! I framed a few for Brandon for Valentine's Day and took them while he was at work so they would be a surprise.

With her cow, Ferdinand.

Betty Boop?

My favorite!

Just something I like about this one!

All smiles!

I've been busy growing!

We took Chloe to her two month appointment on Tuesday February 2nd and she was 14 lbs 2 oz and 231/2 inches long. Our little chunk is in the 97th percentile for weight and the 92nd for height!
It has been a while since I have posted. Chloe has been very busy....
Going on a lunch date with her Mom and Dad
Playing on her activity mat
Getting to know her Uncle Stu

Visiting her Mimi who just had surgery (Chloe is on her activity mat on the floor- we are all staring at her)

She has also been trying on hats...

And spending time with her brother Benny;

He even supervised while she tested out her Bumbo seat.

Chloe has also been busy wiggling her toes (they look just like Brandon's!), showing off her belly and swinging in her swing.

We had one nice day without snow so we took Chloe for her first walk in the stroller;

She wasn't so sure about the stroller so for our next walk we tested out the Moby wrap. This went a little better but toting a baby and walking two dogs just isn't easy.

As you can see, Chloe has been very busy with her adventures and plans to experience many more new things! I go back to work after next week which saddens me but I hope to be able to keep up with this blog though I am sure it may be a challenge. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day weekend!
Bye-bye for now!

Snow Day!

Last night we got 4 inches of snow! Ever since Chloe came home she has been our little snow baby. It snowed the day we brought her home and since then we have had a ton of snow! Today we looked at the snow and took pictures of the snow but did not go out in the snow :(
Next year will be fun when I can bundle her up and take her out in it.
Chloe got all dressed up in her Winnie the Pooh outfit from her Great Aunt Michaela and Uncle David and hat from Nora and Brian.
She spent some time on her tummy and lifted her shoulders off of the ground. She doesn't enjoy tummy time so we don't get very many pictures.
Also featured in pictures today are Benny licking snow off his nose and Lily playing with a headband. Chloe loves to watch them and they are still trying to figure out what she is. I should say that Benny and Lily are trying to figure out what she is and Linus could care less.

Tummy time!

Hello!

Yumm, snow.
Our Backyard:
Lily with her headband, err.. my headband.
Goodnight!
